Tragedy Strikes: Two Coal Miners Perish in Samangan Province

The Taliban security command in Samangan issued a press release on Wednesday, March 6, disclosing that an explosion had occurred in a coal mine situated in the Dar-e-Suf district of the province.

According to the press release, the explosion transpired yesterday afternoon within a privately owned coal mine.

The command further elaborated that ongoing efforts to recover the bodies of the deceased miners from within the mine have thus far proved unsuccessful.

Identified as residents of the Dar-e-Suf district, the victims of this tragic incident were an 18-year-old and a 27-year-old, as indicated in the press release.

However, the Taliban officials have abstained from divulging any details regarding the cause of this explosion.

It is noteworthy that explosions and gas leaks have persistently claimed the lives of numerous laborers working in coal mines throughout various regions of the country.
