Kazakhstan has sent 18 tons of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan to assist those affected by the recent earthquake in the northern part of the country.
Astana Times reported on Thursday, November 13, 2025, that the aid includes 34 types of essential goods, including medicines, medical equipment, bedding, tents, and other vital items allocated from Kazakhstan’s state material reserves.
According to the report, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Health has also dispatched a team of doctors to Afghanistan to provide specialized assistance to those affected.
The delivery of this aid has been organized in cooperation with the Kazakhstan Agency for International Development (KazAID).
This assistance comes as the recent earthquake in Balkh and Samangan provinces has resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of people, and a large number of homes have also been destroyed.
According to statistics released by the Taliban’s Ministry of Public Health, 27 people have lost their lives and 956 others have been injured in the deadly earthquakes in northern Afghanistan.
