WFP: Over 2.5 Million Migrants Forcibly Deported from Pakistan and Iran

The World Food Programme (WFP) has announced that more than 2.5 million Afghan migrants have been forcibly deported from Pakistan and Iran.

On Monday, November 10, 2025, the organization wrote on the social media platform X that most families are being returned to Afghanistan while their mothers and children are suffering from malnutrition.

The World Food Programme stated that in collaboration with international partners, including UNICEF, it is assisting returning families at reception and transit centers through specialized nutrition services for mothers and children.

The organization has warned that the continued forced return of Afghans without adequate facilities being provided could exacerbate the humanitarian crisis in the country.

It is noteworthy that some time ago, the World Food Programme had warned that millions of people in Afghanistan are facing severe hunger and malnutrition due to reduced aid and the forced return of migrants from Iran and Pakistan.

In a report, the organization had stated that nearly two million Afghans have been forcibly returned from Iran and Pakistan without assistance being provided for them.
